    Ideal for students who need consistent support in one subject area. We’ll focus on classroom-aligned skills, practicing key concepts, and building confidence.

    For students who need to strengthen foundational skills and close learning gaps, we offer fully customized remedial tutoring. These lessons involve additional planning and individualized resources. Pricing is tailored and discussed during consultation.

  • Two (or more)-Subject Support — Designed for Cross-Skill Growth

    Perfect for students who need help in two or more subjects, combining any of Math, Science, Reading Comprehension & Writing. Sessions are structured to balance attention and keep learning engaging.

    This package combines academic tutoring with executive functioning coaching, helping students stay organized, plan ahead, and complete assignments with less stress.

  • Building Strong Reading & Spelling Foundations

    Perfect for students who need targeted support in reading and spelling. Lessons follow the Orton–Gillingham (OG) approach, for which I am certified through REACH. This structured, multisensory method emphasizes phonics, the application of sound-symbol relationships, and spelling rules.

    Students progress step by step, with extensive review and practice until mastery, ensuring skills are solid before moving on. To achieve meaningful progress, literacy sessions are scheduled at least twice per week.

    • Phonemic awareness and decoding

    • Reading fluency and comprehension

    • Spelling instruction, including rules and patterns

  • Want more ways to stay connected and informed? These optional add-ons help you stay involved in your child’s progress.

    • 📞 Progress Call — 20 minutes with the tutor every 8 sessions to review progress and share strategies

    • 📝 Complimentary End of Package Call — A complimentary 20 minute call with the tutor at the end of the a package highlighting progress and discussing areas for improvement.

    • 📧 Complimentary Teacher Communication — With your permission, I can connect with your child’s classroom teacher to ensure tutoring goals align with school expectations and provide a seamless support system.

  • Grade-level support focuses on reinforcing what your child is currently learning at school—helping them practice concepts, stay on track, and build confidence.
    Remediation, on the other hand, involves stepping back to address learning gaps and strengthen foundational skills. These lessons are fully customized and often require additional planning and resources, which is reflected in the tailored pricing.

  • Lessons are conducted either online or in-person in Toronto. Every session is interactive and personalized, with the following key elements:

    • Intentional brain breaks (up to 3 minutes) where students play a short learning game with the tutor to reset focus.

    • Pairing learning with movement or play so students stay engaged and energized.

    • Breaking down content into small, digestible pieces, tailored to each student’s unique pace and processing style.

    This approach helps students remain focused while ensuring meaningful, lasting learning.

  • For literacy, we use the Orton–Gillingham (OG) framework, a proven, structured, and multisensory approach to reading and writing.

  • Yes! Many families choose to start online and occasionally book in-person sessions, or vice versa. Scheduling can be discussed during your consultation.

    Please note: If in-person lessons have been scheduled and a change to online lessons is required, we must be notified 24hrs in advance. Inability to provide advance notice will result in the lesson being cancelled. Please review our cancellation policy.

  • At TLC, we don’t offer free trial lessons. Every student comes with unique needs, and lessons often require significant customization and ongoing adjustments to structure and approach. Instead, families can begin with a consultation (free by phone or $50 in person) to ask questions, review student needs, and decide whether TLC is the right fit. This ensures that when lessons begin, they are intentionally designed to support your child from the very first session.

  • At TLC we offer a range of tutoring services, and pricing is based on the type of support your child needs — including academic tutoring, executive functioning coaching, and structured literacy intervention.

How does it work?

At TLC Education, we want families to feel confident and comfortable before starting lessons. That’s why we offer two consultation options:

  • If you’d like to learn more about our services, ask questions, and see if TLC is the right fit for your child, you’re welcome to schedule a free 10-minute phone consultation.

    ✅ You’ll select a time on the calendar.
    ✅ Provide your name, email, and phone number.
    ✅ At your scheduled time, we will call you directly.

  • For families who prefer to meet in person, we offer a 30 minute consultation at our learning space. This option allows you to:

    • Tour the space, designed for learning in multiple ways (varied seating, writing mediums, and cozy reading nooks)

    • Share your child’s schoolwork, IEP, and/or psychoeducational assessment reportsbeforehand.

    • Discuss your child’s specific needs and goals in detail

    💡 If you choose to proceed with lessons, the $50 fee will be applied as a credit toward your first session.
