FAQ
Programs & Approach
-
I work with students aged 9–15 in literacy, writing, math, and executive functioning. Lessons are personalized to meet each child’s needs.
-
Executive functioning sessions build skills in organization, planning, homework completion, and study strategies, helping students become more independent learners.
-
Families may choose two 45-minute sessions (one per subject) or one 90-minute session each week. This balance helps students stay focused while covering more than one area of learning.
-
Yes. Lessons include interactive learning games, assistive tools like ModMath and mind-mapping, and best practices for school projects in Google Docs. These are included in every lesson at no extra cost.
Consultations & Enrollment
-
A phone consultation is 10 minutes and free — a chance to share goals and ask questions. An in-person consultation is 30 minutes ($50) and includes a space tour plus a review of your child’s IEP, psychoeducational report, and schoolwork. These documents need to be sent at least 24 hrs before the consultation begins.
-
The fee is non-refundable, but if you choose to begin lessons it will be credited toward your first session.
-
Please provide your child’s IEP, psychoeducational report, recent tests, and schoolwork 24 hrs before the consultation start time, so I can prepare a personalized plan in advance.
Scheduling & Policies
-
Give at least 24 hours' notice, and you’ll have the option to:
Reschedule the session (usually added to the end of your plan)
Switch it to an online session
Credit it to your next invoice (for prepaid clients)
-
8 session and 22 session packages cannot be shared between siblings. This is to ensure that the tutor is able to customize lessons and ensure progress for each sibling. However, discounts are currently available for sibling packages.
44 lesson packages can be split between siblings.
