Hi! I’m the founder of TLC Education and an Academic Support Specialist with over a decade of experience.

My work is highly individualized. I carefully document each student’s progress—what strategies worked, what didn’t, and why—so I can continually refine every lesson. I adapt activities to each learner’s profile, revise plans regularly, and use detailed notes to guide instruction with intention and precision.

I collaborate directly with classroom teachers to support test preparation, clarify areas of challenge, and ensure accommodations are used effectively. I also invest in ongoing professional development so my students benefit from the most current, evidence-based practices, including structured, multisensory instruction rooted in Orton–Gillingham principles.

As a result, students stay engaged, feel genuinely supported, and often begin showing noticeable gains in confidence and classroom performance within just a few lessons.

Parents describe me as patient, insightful, and deeply committed to helping students become capable, independent learners—not just for one semester, but for years to come.

Our Educational Philosophy

Open journal with handwritten quote on the right page and watercolor plant illustration on the left page. The quote reads: 'We create our reality from our daily choices. The world consists of billions of realities.'

We’re driven by a simple but powerful belief: Build Skills Without the Struggle

That means:

  • Multisensory, structured approaches, such as using phonics-based instruction rooted in the Orton–Gillingham framework for literacy, ensuring fluency and confidence.

  • Small, digestible learning steps, broken down to match each learner’s pace and processed until mastery is achieved.

  • Intentional engagement, using brain breaks, games, and movement to keep focus strong and learning enjoyable.

  • Long-term impact, equipping students with the metacognitive tools they’ll use beyond sessions—organization, self-advocacy, and executive functioning skills that support academic independence.
