📘 Tutoring Terms & Policies
These FAQs cover everything you need to know about how tutoring sessions are scheduled, paid for, canceled, and supported. Please read through before booking.
-
All tutoring plans must be paid in full before sessions begin.
Invoices are sent to the parent/guardian email on file one week before your start date.
Invoices expire after 48 hours. If payment is not received within that window, your reserved time slot will be released and rescheduled once payment is complete.
Please send proof of payment (especially for bank transfers or manual methods) once complete.
Prepaid long-term plans (6-month and yearly) include built-in discounts and guarantee your preferred weekly slot for the duration of the plan.
-
24-Hour Policy
You must provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations, rescheduling, or switching from in-person to online.
With 24+ hours’ notice, your session can:
Be moved to a later date (usually added to the end of your package)
Be switched to an online session
Be credited to your next invoice (for prepaid clients)
Grace Pass
Every client is allowed one short-notice cancellation every 2 months, where normal rescheduling applies.
This is designed for illness or emergency situations.
Short-Notice Cancellations
Any cancellation under 24 hours, beyond your grace pass, is forfeited and cannot be rescheduled or credited — except in exceptional cases at the tutor’s discretion.
Changes to Session Timing
Changes to the session start time also require 24 hours’ notice.
If no alternate time is available, the session will be moved to the end of the package.
Excessive Changes
If you cancel or reschedule with short notice more than twice per billing cycle, your scheduling flexibility may be reduced, or sessions may shift to online-only.
Tutor Cancellations
If the tutor must cancel, a make-up session will be offered, or a credit will be applied to your next invoice.

Pricing listed across the website does not include applicable taxes. Taxes will be added at the time of invoicing.
Shorter (45-minute) sessions are available upon request, but progress may take longer than with full-hour sessions.
The Literacy Intervention Program is only available in 60-minute sessions, twice per week, and cannot be adjusted.
